SILLAN: A PASSION THAT BECOME A COMPANY

The Sillan Srl hosiery was founded in 1989 in Castiglione delle Stiviere by Liliana Soregaroli and Silvio Lanfredi (hence the name Sil.Lan.).

After taking the first steps in the small factory in via dei Zoppi, Sillan moved to the current headquarters in via Fossadone: 4,630 square meters of factory located on two floors where cutting-edge machinery and highly specialized personnel operate. The main productions of Sillan, mainly intended for the private label service, are linked to women’s knee-highs, collants, socks, hold-ups and tights.

Sillan is now finding a profitable continuity thanks to her sons Marco, Michele and Stefano, who have collected the parents’ baton and are ready to explore new frontiers of textiles for Sillan. From the recent production of microfibre protective bands, dictated by the 2020 health emergency, to the prospect, in the not too distant future, of expanding the use of recycled and eco-sustainable yarns.

The experience gained in the yarn machinery sector, which led him to discuss and collaborate with the main European and American buyers, convinced Silvio, over thirty years ago, to start a new entrepreneurial adventure in an area like Mantua’s province, which has always been the center of international sock production.

From one generation to the next Sillan has not lost its main engine: the passion for its work. A passion that has become a company.
